Feel the chill… experience the thrill!!! Does an invigorating dip in Lake Elmore on a February morning excite you? Does raising money to support services for children and families seem worthwhile? If you said yes to both, the Morrisville Rotary Club and the Lamoille Family Center invite you to sign up for the 2012 Polar Splash to be held at Lake Elmore on Saturday, February 18th. Proceeds will be split between the Morrisville Rotary Club and the Lamoille Family Center. The Morrisville Rotary Club’s mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. Funds raised will support various community service projects and contributions to local, regional, national, and international causes. The Lamoille Family Center’s mission is to affirm the right of all children to grow up in an environment that enables them to become healthy adults by educating, encouraging and celebrating families. Funds raised will be dedicated to a building fund as the Lamoille Family Center embarks upon moving to an expanded facility. Participation is simple! Collect pledges from friends, family and colleagues who love the thought of you jumping into the icy Lake Elmore waters in the typically frigid February. Join us for a registration party on Friday February 17th at River Arts in Morrisville. Go to the Elmore State Park on Saturday February 18th ready to make a splash for two worthy causes.
