Attend two training sessions for parents, early childhood professionals, educators, and others who work with children and families. The sessions will address behaviors of children age preschool through school age. 10AM - Noon - Beyond Bossing, Begging and Bribing Have you ever heard someone say “What part of no don’t you understand?” or “Because I said so, that’s why!” Or maybe you have thought there has to be a better way to get children to listen. This session explores four choices about how to raise, teach and discipline children. When you leave, your “toolbox” will be full of effective strategies.
1 - 3PM - Freeing Children from Fear Bullying behaviors are at epidemic proportions. Over 160,000 children miss attending school every day due to fear of attack or intimidation by a peer. This pattern of teasing, name-calling, harassment, hurt and violence begins from a young age. And you can do something about it. In this workshop you will recognize the many forms this abuse can take, discover how to identify and empower children who are victims, combat common myths, and know when and how to step in to protect children from each other. |
