Encouraging, Educating and Celebrating Families |

For thirty-five years the Lamoille Family Center has encouraged, educated and celebrated families, serving approximately 1,600 parents, caregivers and children annually. We offer a host of services to families and children from birth to age twenty-two throughout the Lamoille Valley.
As one of fifteen Parent Child Centers across the state, the Family Center offers early care and education services, home visiting, parent education, playgroups, childcare resource and referral, youth services and emergency assistance.
In Fiscal Year 2010:
- The Outreach program served 172 families, reaching 284 adults and 334 children. This program provides emergency funding and goods such as diapers, clothing and furniture to families in need.
- The Holiday project served 139 families, resulting in 264 children receiving gifts, mittens, hats and books.
- The Supervised Child Access program served 44 families, resulting in nearly 245 hours of monitored parent-child contact on site at the Lamoille Family Center.
- Youth programming reached nearly 400 at risk youth. 298 youth received case management, conflict resolution and crisis intervention services, 27 youth, including 6 graduates, participated in the Learning Together program (an alternative high school providing education and support services for pregnant, parenting and at risk young women), 10 youth were sheltered for a total of 236 nights, and an average of 26 youth attended the Youth Rocks Café Teen Center weekly.
