Would you like to make a lasting difference for families and children in need?

Join us for the Vermont Pumpkin Chuckin' Festival

The Festival is a one-day event where Do-It-Yourself mechanical wizards of all ages attempt to launch pumpkins as far as possible with their trebuchets (a type of medieval siege weapon).  The festival will also include children’s activities, a bounce house, chili cook-off,  great food and music provided by House Dunn, Ball Hammock and the duo Jen and John.

There is a $5 admission fee for both spectators and competitors. For more information about the event or to learn about building your own trebuchet and entering the contest, visit the festival website ( for details.

This fun family event will be held at the Stoweflake Resort and Spa on Sunday, September 28th.  All proceeds will benefit the Lamoille Family Center. Hope to see you there!

Looking to the Future: A Potential New Home for the LFC

The Lamoille Family Center has served children, youth, families and caregivers throughout the Lamoille Valley for 38 years. Our ability to meet the needs of the community is limited by the current facility on Cady’s Falls Road, which we have occupied for 20 years. In order to determine our capacity to build a new facility, the LFC will conduct a feasibility study later this fall. Cushman Design Group has created a number of visual renderings to be considered as part of that process. You can view these drawings on the Cushman Design Group Facebook page. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please contact Scott Johnson, Executive Director, at 888-5229 ext. 124 or click here to send him an email.

Encouraging, Educating and Celebrating Families

For thirty-eight years the Lamoille Family Center has encouraged, educated and celebrated families, serving approximately 1,600 parents, caregivers and children annually.  We offer a host of services to families and children from birth to age twenty-two throughout the Lamoille Valley.
