Please note: In an effort to keep our community healthy, playgroups and parent education workshops have moved to an on-line format.
New! Virtual Parent Education Workshops!
Tuesday, June 9 7:30-9:00 PM
“The Good Enough Parent During a Crisis”
with Kimberly Quinn, Ph.D. via Zoom
When the Family Center is open, a full spectrum of parent education services are offered throughout the year including playgroups and single and multi-session parent education workshops.
Playgroups are offered from September through May and follow the school calendar. Children learn to socialize and play cooperatively. Parents enjoy the company of other adults while learning about children’s development and community resources. During the playgroup, parents and kids play games, create art, read books, sing songs and enjoy healthy snacks.
Educational workshops are offered throughout the year at the Family Center and various other locations around the region. Workshop titles and topics have included healthy childhood sexual behavior, safe computer use, and challenging behaviors.
