The Lamoille Family Center organizes two projects every year to make the holidays a bit brighter for area families.

Holiday Project – On a Saturday in December, parents (or guardians) who have registered with the Family Center, choose new toys for their children as well as donated books, hats and mittens. Families must complete 2 hours of community service during the year in order to participate in this project.

You can help by:

• Donating new, unwrapped toys, stocking stuffers, hats and mittens for children up to age 12
• Donating new or used children’s books
• Donating money to be used to purchase toys needed for a particular age group of children
• Volunteering your time to help staff the event
• Referring families in need to this project
• Asking friends, family, co-workers, etc to donate to this project

Adopt a Family Project – Families are referred by a service provider to participate in this project, where they are matched with a donor (family, business, religious group, etc) who shops for the members of the family based upon items listed on a wish list. Families can only participate in this project once in a lifetime.
