Child Care Center Director

The Lamoille Family Center is seeking a full-time Director to oversee its 5 STARS Child Care Center, serving 8 children and their families. In addition, the Director will be an active teacher in the program, providing nurturing care for children 6 weeks to 2 years of age.

Responsibilities: Curriculum development, direct care for children, parent communication and education, staff supervision, compliance with State licensing requirements and STARS criteria, and electronic reporting.

Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or related field, 5 years working in the child care industry, and experience with staff supervision and program oversight. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, family dynamics and community resources.

LINK (Runaway, Homeless, & Vulnerable Youth) Case Manager

The Lamoille Family Center seeks an energetic, organized, and flexible individual to provide case management and crisis intervention services to 12 to 23 year old youth and young adults. This position works as part of the LINK program team, has significant contact with schools, social service partners and the Dept. of Children and Families. An understanding of Positive Youth Development approaches is desired.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year work experience with vulnerable youth and their parents/guardians is required. Qualified candidates will have a solid understanding of positive youth development, social work, ability to organize & manage documentation, strong communication skills, and an ability to collaborate with multiple community partners. Candidates should have a knowledge of various youth focused systems of care. Travel throughout the Lamoille Valley, occasional crisis / after hours response, and some evening work required.

Hometown Playgroup Facilitator

The Lamoille Family Center has an immediate opening for a Hometown Playgroup Facilitator (for 3 Playgroups held in Morrisville, Johnson, and Eden). This part-time job is FUN, flexible, creative and family-friendly. Playgroups run on the public pre-school calendar through May. The ideal Facilitator enjoys and has experience working with children/ families/communities and has knowledge of child development, family dynamics and local family resources. This 10 hour a week position requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.

Child Care Center Substitutes

The Lamoille Family Center has an ongoing need for substitutes to work in our licensed 5 STAR Child Care Center, which serves children 6 weeks to 2 years of age.  Substitutes are needed to fill in for planned and unplanned staff absences.

Qualifications:
18 years of age, high school diploma or equivalent, experience working with young children, knowledge of child development, ability to be flexible.
