 Specialized Child Care and Child Care Financial Assistance/Referral Specialist 

The Lamoille Family Center seeks an energetic, organized, and flexible individual to join the Early Childhood team. This position works as part of a team to provide supports to parents and caregivers applying for Children’s Integrated Services-Specialized Childcare and the Child Care Financial Assistance Program as well as providing information to families on current childcare openings. The Specialist works directly with caregivers and the VT Child Development Division to determine eligibility for the childcare financial assistance program and provide services to support families in accessing and maintaining their benefits. All interactions shall be conducted in a positive, professional and respectful manner including the protection of confidentiality.

Qualifications: BA/BS in Human Services, Business or related field; and a minimum of one-year experience in a fast-paced human services program or related environment is preferred. Excellent organizational skills, strong computer skills including use of databases and spreadsheets, a knowledge of community resources, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential.
