Food Program Specialist
The Lamoille Family Center seeks a part-time Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Specialist. The CACFP program offers reimbursement to registered home child care providers for healthy meals and snacks served to children in care.
Duties include: monitoring child enrollment and nutrition requirements, processing claim forms, providing nutrition training, technical assistance with on-line reimbursement system, on-site visits to child care homes, recruiting new providers into the program, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in child development, nutrition, human services or related field. Ability to interact with child care providers in a non-judgmental manner utilizing strength based practices. Should have excellent computer, organizational, and communication skills.

Child Care Center Director
The Lamoille Family Center is seeking a full-time Director to oversee its 5 STARS Child Care Center, serving 8 children and their families. In addition, the Director will be an active teacher in the program, providing nurturing care for children 6 weeks to 2 years of age.
Responsibilities: Curriculum development, direct care for children, parent communication and education, staff supervision, compliance with State licensing requirements and STARS criteria, and electronic reporting.
Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or related field, 5 years working in the child care industry, and experience with staff supervision and program oversight. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, family dynamics and community resources.

Child Care Center Substitutes
The Lamoille Family Center has an ongoing need for substitutes to work in our licensed 5 STAR Child Care Center, which serves children 6 weeks to 2 years of age. Substitutes are needed to fill in for planned and unplanned staff absences.
18 years of age, high school diploma or equivalent, experience working with young children, knowledge of child development, ability to be flexible.
