History

Established in 1976, the Lamoille Family Center is one of Vermont’s oldest Parent Child Centers with a solid track record of leadership, innovation, and collaboration.   The organization began with a focus on parent support and education with a handful of staff.  While always based in Morrisville, our offices have moved three times to adjust to our growth over the years.

The Family Center now offers seventeen programs and projects, serving families with children of all ages.  We currently employ thirty full and part time staff, serving families throughout the Lamoille Valley.   A third of the employees have been employed at the Family Center for more than ten years.  The organization is governed by a strong Board of Directors with members from State government, area businesses, early childhood programs, and the area college.

The Family Center’s annual budget has grown at a reasonable rate of 4% per year with the administrative costs averaging 11% of the overall budget.  Our annual audit has revealed that the organization is in compliance with all federal requirements and no deficiencies were cited.
